A pack of gum
Last night, for the first time ever, I went to Panda in downtown Dammam to do my first groceries. My bill was 103.75 riyal. Gave them 105 bill. I got back 2 riyal, 75 cents short (or halalah as they called it). Don't want to argue with the cashier as his size is twice as big as me. Plus I can't really understand what he was saying
Today, I went to Lulu's in Khobar. Same thing happened again. He's nicer. This cashier told me he has no halalah, and offered me a pack of gum instead. There is a stack of gum near his register. So I received 23 riyals and 1 pack of gum for my groceries.
This is something I should get used to
